Mission

Our mission is to improve and strengthen the mental health and emotional wellbeing of the Latinx community through culturally-grounded & evidence-based clinical services, community programs, and education. 

Bottom Line for Portland

Raíces fills a critical need for culturally-specific, community-centered mental health & healing services for the Latinx community. Since January 2023, we have served over 4000 Latinx community members with our trauma-informed community programs & mental health services.  Only 3% of mental health providers in Oregon identify as Latinx, while Oregon's Latinx community  is 14% and rapidly growing. We offer prevention and clinical services to improve mental health equitably.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Raíces is a mental health non-profit for the Latinx community by the Latinx community. All our clinical services and programs are provided in Spanish and lead by bi-lingual, bi-cultural clinicians and traditional health workers. We are guided by a 100% Latinx community advisory board, 90% of our staff are Latinx, and 60% of our Board are Latinx.

The Advice Booth-  Advice Booth is a women-owned neighborhood bar serving up booze and encouragement with cozy 70’s booths and a year-round patio. Come for the LGBTQIA+ safe space, stay for the friendly bartenders, vegan jello shots, photo booth, pinball, and nacho cheese!

Luna Wellness Spa- Luna is a place to heal yourself , while surrounded  by a community of support. Luna takes an individualized approach to health, offering chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage treatments in NE Portland.  Schedule Here.
