Wallace
Mission
Our mission is to provide an open door to exceptional health services and connections that support individuals and their families in healthy living.
Bottom Line for Portland
Our service area in East Multnomah County is vibrant and diverse, yet also faces high rates of poverty and is medically underserved.
Wallace provides low-cost, accessible primary care to individuals, families and students who would otherwise be shut out from the services they need to live healthy lives.
Our whole-person approach unites medical, dental and behavioral health services with a focus on addressing the economic and social barriers that create health disparities.
Quote
A quote (and its translation) from a Wallace patient:
“Amabilidad. Respeto. Y comprensión a las personas. Me hacen sentir importante y en familia”.
“Kindness. Respect. And an understanding of people. Wallace makes me feel important, like family.”
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We serve our community best when we reflect and understand the diverse cultures of the community we serve, from the front desk to our board of directors.
Over 60% of Wallace staff live in our service area, and more than 50% identify as BIPOC. Our managers are 42% BIPOC, and our board of directors is 50% BIPOC.
