Tualatin Food Pantry
Mission
To alleviate food insecurity in our community in a welcoming way that brings dignity and choice to our neighbors.
Bottom Line for Portland
Serving more than 800 clients per month, the Tualatin Food Pantry is essential to ensuring that neighbors in our community do not go hungry. At each visit, clients are able to select their own groceries from a wide selection of fresh produce, shelf-stable dry goods, bread, meat, milk/eggs/margarine and other items traditionally found in your local grocery store's freezer/cooler sections. We operate with 1.875 FTE staff positions and a volunteer team that is dedicated to serving others. In 2022, volunteers contributed nearly 10,000 hours of service.
Quote
“In 2022, we provided emergency food support to more than 27,200 individuals in our community. In 2023, we are on track to serve more than 34,000 individuals. Gifts from donors is the only way that we are able to continue to help alleviate food insecurity in our community” - Danielle Schneider, Executive Director, TFP.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We work to ensure that we provide access to foods that are diverse and culturally appropriate for our clientele. We translate most of our posted signs into Spanish and include Spanish translation on select sections of our website.
