Mission

At Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm, we aim to co-create a more sustainable, equitable, efficient, and healthy food system. Our mission is to advance individual, community, and environmental health in East Multnomah County by providing healthy, locally grown produce; access to land; educational programs; and community-led events.

Bottom Line for Portland

Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm (TCF) grows produce for low-income families and offers educational programs, including school field trips and workshops focused on sustainable agriculture methods, cooking with seasonal produce, and food systems issues. These programs are designed to address food insecurity, which affects folks in East Multnomah County at a disproportional rate. So far in 2023, over 9,000 lbs of produce has been provided at no cost to recipients and more than 250 community members have participated in educational programs.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm strives to create a sense of belonging and a welcoming, respectful, inclusive and safe environment for everyone at the farm. We serve East Multnomah County, an area disproportionately affected by poverty and food insecurity, especially for communities of color. We recognize the historical harm done to these communities and work to improve food security through education and food access via direct distribution and food pantry donations.
