Our mission is to enhance the diverse strengths of our youth and families in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education.

Bottom Line for Portland

With nearly 50 years in the Portland region, NAYA has been a consistent presence for Portland’s growing Native community and has responded to the needs of the community. NAYA is a cultural hub that community members have grown to trust, and through a suite of wraparound and life-affirming services, we impact the lives of 10,000 people each year, teaching culture, providing foster youth and family support, building prosperity through affordable housing opportunities, homeownership, and small business classes, and creating brighter futures for our youth with our alternative high school and college and career services.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

 “Diversity” is one of NAYA’s ten core values, guiding our culture and our work. While our mission is to serve self-identified Native Americans, we serve anyone that enters our doors. Our board and staff reflect the diverse community we serve and we strive to maintain an inclusive, safe, and welcoming space for everyone, including our Two Spirit and LGBTQ community.

Portugal. The Man is a champion of Indigenous communities, Native youth, and environmental justice, partnering with NAYA Family Center for several years. 

evo is a PNW outdoor adventure retailer that is passionate about building their communities' strengths, and supporting youth-serving organizations.
 

Two Rivers Bookstore & Weird Sisters Yarn share a community-focused space in St Johns and are dedicated supporters of NAYA Family Center.

 ¿Por Qué No? Taqueria is a local restaurant famous for their Mexican-style tacos, and a long-time supporter of NAYA Family Center.
