HereTogether

Mission

Our region’s housing affordability and homelessness crisis has reached a critical point. HereTogether advocates for robust, effective implementation of the 10 year, $2.5 billion Supportive Housing Services measure, a region-wide initiative that our coalition championed. We are committed to addressing the root causes of homelessness in pursuit of a Portland region where everyone has access to housing, support, services, and income that allow them to thrive.

Bottom Line for Portland

HereTogether brings together a broad-based coalition of 250+ organizations, service and health care providers, businesses, elected leaders, community advocates, and members of the faith community, all united by a shared vision: a Portland where everyone has a safe place to call home. We are uniting our community around solutions while advocating every day, at every level, for our unhoused neighbors and our communities who care about ending our region’s housing and homelessness crisis.

Quote

"As a coalition partner, we've seen firsthand how HereTogether's advocacy for proven solutions has a tangible impact. HereTogether's support has been instrumental in opening doors for our services to expand and reach more people in need." - Mellani Calvin, Executive Director of ASSIST, a HereTogether Coalition Member

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Oregon’s housing crisis is steeped in decades of racial discrimination and exclusion. The HereTogether coalition helped develop and pass the region wide Supportive Housing Services measure with a strong commitment toward centering justice and equity so local governments and elected leaders would be held accountable for reducing racial and identity-based disparities when addressing homelessness. Now, we work to ensure that decision-makers are held accountable to this promise, especially because BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities are disproportionately and significantly impacted by homelessness.

Earlier this year, HereTogether led the charge to keep Clackamas County’s Office of Equity and Inclusion intact when it came under fire from Clackamas County Commissioners. We work hard every day to ensure our entire region is a safe and welcoming place for every member of our community.
