Friends of Hopewell House
Mission
To provide the most compassionate and innovative care to those at the end of life, in a home-like setting. To shape and share what it means to "live well in the presence of death".
Bottom Line for Portland
You helped us open our doors as a hospice residence and begin serving Portlanders at the end of life at Hopewell House once again! Now, you can help make it possible for individuals in need to receive physical, emotional, and spiritual care in their final days.
Quote
"I also want to express my deep gratitude for the entire staff and volunteers at Hopewell House. Although my father's stay there was short, I couldn't imagine a more supportive environment for us to spend with him in his last few days."
- Grateful Family Member, 2023
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Hopewell House seeks to serve all who enter its doors with compassion, an open mind, and thoughtfulness. We have been holding staff, volunteer, and board trainings in Cultural Humility in 2023 as we began operations, and continue to hold listening circles, evaluate staff, and expand our spiritual care team to meet the needs of residents and their loved ones going through what is often the most difficult time of their lives.
