Fear No Music

Mission

Fear No Music promotes music education through the high-quality public performance of modern and contemporary classical music, and by offering groundbreaking youth mentorship in composition. Comprised of highly talented musicians, this flexible chamber music ensemble champions living composers and exposes audiences to new music being made both locally and globally through a uniquely relevant annual concert series. The group educates and trains the next generation of young composers in our community through its Young Composers Project. As a public advocate for global peace and equity, Fear No Music leverages its platforms for healing, activism, and social justice.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Diversity, equity and inclusion are central to Fear No Music's mission. As one of few BIPOC-led arts non-profits in the Portland metro area, Fear No Music concerts serve as platforms for global peace, healing, activism, and social justice. The organization's 30-year history consistently reflects socially responsible work which includes a commitment to programming more than 50% of its music by female and/or non-binary composers, offering concerts that highlight the work of minority composers, and partnering with organizations involved in social justice as a key aspect of engagement.

Fear No Music is offering exciting incentives on Big Give Days! Donors on the following Big Give Days are eligible to win the following prizes: 

November 1: G!G kick off day! Five TOP donors will receive a 1lb bag of limited edition Fear No Coffee, generously provided by BadBeard's Microroastery.  

November 28: GIVING TUESDAY! Support Fear No Music today-- the first two donors to donate $100 or more will receive a $25 gift card to Powells Bookstore, courtesy of Fearless Board Member, Nicholas Emerson. December 6: Fearless business partner, Bella's Italian Bakery in SE Portland is offering $20 gift certificates to five TOP donors today.  

December 30: Today is your last chance to claim a special edition BadBeard's Microroastery FEAR NO COFFEE brew. Five TOP donors receive a 1lb bag of coffee beans.
