Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon
Mission
FCCO's mission is to improve the welfare and reduce the population of feral and stray cats through spay/neuter programs and education.
Bottom Line for Portland
FCCO is the only program in our region providing vital spay/neuter services for feral & stray cats, and this year we’ve made a significant impact by helping more than 8,000 cats – all for a donation.
Cats can get pregnant at just 5 months old and have up to 3 litters per year in our climate. Spay/neuter provides a critical safety net for the cats and protects the environment, creating a more respectful and compassionate community for all living beings.
Quote
We are SO GRATEFUL to have been able to fix every cat. They showed up as ferals and had kittens. We would not have been able to afford to get all 12 spayed/neutered and vaccinated without FCCO.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
It's a core value of FCCO that our services be affordable and accessible to everyone – and approximately 40% of feral cat caregivers have a household income of less than $25,000. While our services are provided for a suggested donation of $50 per cat, this can still be too much for many people or those who are feeding many cats. We don’t turn anyone away based on how much they can contribute or where they live.
Incentives
Our good friends at Western Partitions Inc. (WPI) matched all donations up to $25,000 to help us spay/neuter more cats!
