Do Good Multnomah
Mission
Do Good Multnomah walks together with Veterans and other underserved communities so that all individuals are seen, supported, and valued while navigating shelter and housing.
Bottom Line for Portland
We work with Veterans and other marginalized folx who have no safe place to live and sleep. On any given night, hundreds of Veterans find themselves houseless on the streets of Portland. Do Good Multnomah is determined to change that. We emphasize relationship-building, one-on-one engagement, supportive services, and direct community participation to do our part to help end houselessness in Portland, Oregon and beyond.

Quote
“When I moved into… Do Good, and I received my keys to my front door… all of a sudden it hit me: there wasn’t anyone else’s name on the lease. I wasn’t going to have to leave some time. It was all mine. I can do my own laundry. I can make dinner in my own kitchen. It feels really good to be alive” - Jeff, U.S. Navy Veteran
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We are mindful that Do Good serves a community that is often relegated to the margins of society. The tenets of justice and equity must be at the core of creating dignified, supportive communities and we aim to include these principles in every aspect of our work. Our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism (IDEA) team recognizes the larger systems of oppression and discrimination that further marginalizes and harms BIPOC and LGBTQ+ staff and participants. Therefore, the IDEA team was created to ensure that Do Good is an anti-racist and inclusive place to work, and makes sure that these principles extend to our participants.
