Community Energy Project

Mission

We believe that everyone deserves a safe, healthy, an efficient home, regardless of income.

Bottom Line for Portland

The residents we serve are frontline communities experiencing an increased vulnerability to the uncertainty posed by climate change. We prioritize the service of BIPOC individuals, seniors, and low-income individuals. Our programs have helped thousands of households live more comfortably and safely, use less energy, save money, and combat the effects of climate change.

Quote

People are the experts of their own experience.

By empowering people with information and tools and facilitating connections to resources, we can increase the capacity of our community to address many home, environmental, health, comfort, and safety issues while conserving natural resources.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

CEP provides access to social, natural, and economic resources tailored to individual needs. Improving equity involves promoting justice, impartiality, and fairness within the procedures and processes of institutions or systems, as well as distribution of resources. Our In-Homes program and educational workshops were designed with our clients' specific needs in mind, created on a foundation of equity with an emphasis on accessibility.

Incentives

Every Tuesday in November, Portland's Deschutes Brewery will donate $1 per pint to CEP. Head to Deschutes to raise a glass and give back!
