Mission

Catalyst Partnerships builds hope, inspires faith, and nurtures community by bringing together useful resources and caring volunteers to meet the critical home repair needs of under-resourced people in our communities.

Bottom Line for Portland

We are a local, grass-roots organization that was started by a dozen friends 17-years ago who wanted to love our neighbors practically and relationally.  We mobilize hundreds of volunteers and dozens of organizational partners each year to improve the lives of our elderly, disabled, and low-income neighbors who need help.  Our strong partnerships and small paid-staff allow us to stretch dollars!

Quote

“My experience of being a ‘service project’ was very humbling. First, the process of asking for help; then, being asked to open my home to the help. When they were doing all the projects, it was hard for me to step aside and let them do the work because I am single and normally do everything myself. As I watched them work, I felt overwhelmed with love; that all of these people really cared about me enough to come in and do this work.”

-Heather, Project Recipient then Project Volunteer

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
