To assist in the social and economic development of Oregon's underserved communities and to contribute to a broader understanding of ethnic and culturally diverse groups.

BUF-OR is the oldest BIPOC-led foundation in Oregon and one of the last culturally-specific organizations remaining on historically-Black NE Alberta Street. For 40 years, our programs have increased postsecondary success for youth, provided philanthropic support to underserved communities, and supported BIPOC business owners and entrepreneurs. 

A successful campaign means equitable access to postsecondary support and scholarships, support for small, BIPOC-led nonprofits, and resources for BIPOC businesses and entrepreneurs to grow. Together, we can create a resilient future for Portland.

For 40 years, the Black United Fund of Oregon has been a driver of and a contributor to equity and inclusion work taking place at the state and local levels. As a culturally-specific and BIPOC-led organization, we recognize that diversity, equity, and inclusion are complex and multifaceted topics. With that knowledge in mind, we consistently evaluate and update our strategies to align with best practices and remain responsive to our community.

The Side Yard Farm and Kitchen feeds upwards of 15,000 people per year through restaurants, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes, donations, catering, and farm events, and they are committed to continuing their work in building and fostering community resilience by providing a safe, inclusive space for all identities.

The Canopy Portland is in the Pearl District, surrounded by vibrant shopping and dining options--Downtown Portland, Union Station, and local cultural attractions like Powell's City of Books are within a six-minute walk. 

Tattoo 34 PDX is an Indigenous & Black Owned Tattoo Shop in Portland, Oregon-- they strive to give everyone the best experience in a welcoming, comfortable and positive space, while doing the best tattoos.
